Email Setup for Sbcglobal.net on iPhone

Since SBCGlobal email is working under AT&T, therefore, the mail server settings that will be required to Set up the SBCGlobal account on iPhone will be similar to those used for the AT&T account set up. This was important to tell beforehand, so that you may not confuse later by seeing the mail server settings.

Following are the steps to Set up SBCGlobal Email on iPhone

  1. Go to your phone’s settings.
  2. Scroll through it and tap on the “Mail” option.
  3. Select Accounts and then tap on “Add Account”.
  4. Select AT&T from the list of email service providers, if it is not there, tap on the “Other” option.
  5. Now, enter your SBCGlobal email account and password in their designated fields.
  6. Tap on the “Next” button.
  7. Now, the information and your account will be verified. If it was not successful, then you will be taken to a page where you have to manually set up the SBCGlobal account on iPhone by doing mail server settings.
  8. If the mail server setting page is prompted, choose the IMAP as your email account type. Following are the settings for it:
  9. Incoming Mail Server: IMAP

    1. Server: imap.mail.att.net

    2. Port No.: 993

    3. Encryption: SSL

  10. Outgoing Mail Server: SMTP

    1. Server: smtp.mail.att.net

    2. Port No.: 465 or 587

    3. Encryption: SSL

  11. Tap on the “Next” button.

  12. Wait for account verification, tap on the “Finish” button and your SBCGlobal email account will be added to your iPhone.
